Bound by Life

Two figures that are tied together but unable to fully connect due to the constraints that life has put them in. Whether it be money, health, family, work etc. The figures have bounded themselves in such a way that they are unable to connect with each other, even though they are so close physically. Our hope with this piece is that the viewer assesses what’s constraining them in their life and how they can create a closer connection to the people they love as well as paying homage to the beautiful shibari art form.
